Favors and Centerpieces

FAVORS

I have spent coutless hours already planning out the little detail of the DIY wedding. 

After trying to come up with a tasty, original idea for favors, we decided on Chocolate covered spoons. 

Yes spoons. 

They will be about $25 for 120 of them. 

The dollar store is the DIY Brides best friend.

CENTERPIECES

Again, the Dollar Store is the DIY Brides best friend. 

We will have 7 1/4 inch cylinder vases with red marbles in the bottom, 

one Red calla lily in water and a floating candle. 

There will also be 3 square votive candle holders around the cylinder.

Finalized Stationary Design

After a little more work, I finalized the look and most of the wording for our homemade wedding stationary.

I got my RING!

Yep! That's right, I finally got my ring. 

He got up early in the morning and brought it back to me so I would have it for work that day, Awww.

 

Table Place Settings

TABLE NUMBERS

Rich is a HUGE NASCAR fan and I thought it would be nice to 

include at least a few things into the wedding that he likes :) 

So I Came up with a neat idea for our table numbers. 

Each NASCAR has a number, so i'm going to try and find good pictures

 of the sides of each car and use them as table numbers.

Cute right?

Also, I thought that it would be a cute way to save money 

by making the place cards double as the guest favors. 

I came up with the idea to make yummy giant sugar cookies 

and decorate them with the guests name and the 

number of the table they will be seated at.

I made this on the computer, so its kind of rough, 

but it would be a sugar cookie with a red icing, and white icing piping for the letters. 

Just tucked in a little bag with a matching ribbon, 

the guests would look for their name on the cookie, find there table and eat up!

Bridal Accessories

SHOES

So I cant quite decide on which shoes I like. 

Seeing as I LOVE all shoes, this is gonna be a hard one.

Here are my top picks.

BAG

So, normally, I don't think I would want a bag to carry, 

but it's been brought to my attention tat there are some things 

I may want to have with me, So, this is the cute little clutch I found. 

And I LOVE IT!

Attire/Beauty

THE GOWN

I haven't actually found it yet. 

I'ts actually quite and old dress, 

and I'm not sure I will be able to find it, but luckily, 

a friend's mother is a wonderful seamstress and offered to make it for me!

BRIDESMAIDS

Of course they wouldn't be in these colors. 

I have decided on having the girls in red. 

So sash's, bows, ribbons, they would all be a different color, 

black, white, silver.

THE MEN

Something like this. 

I like the lines and of course the color.

I've been playing with this for about 2 weeks now and here are the designs I have come up with.

As you can tell i have decided on the theme/colors. Were going to go with red, black, white and silver. It was an easy pick since those are our favorite colors. 

And since i LOVE Callas i had to include a few.

CAKE

And, I am so thankful to all of the friends we know who 

are willing and able to help us. 

George has offered to make us our cake! This is what I have in mind.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the topper, it's exactly what we are going to get. 

The swirl detail is just beautiful and i think the black ribbon just ties it together. 

O I'm so excited. Thank  you George!

HAIR

As far as hair goes, i have come to the conclusion that i want a half up half down type thing. 

Here are some of the pictures that I will be using as ideas.

I don't know what it is, but I love the combination of all of these looks. 

I don't think i would look all that good with a full Up-Do. (Yuck) 

So loose curls and side swept bangs, here I come!

i have decided that i like the damask pattern. 

I made a few samples of what i think my stationary will look like.
